![]() Single Enclosure LTI-05 Leak Test |
| The LTI-05 leak test instrument is a single channel test system that operates on clean dry shop air to accurately test for product leaks. | |||
| TEST METHODS | |||
MASS FLOW | ||
The LTI-05 displays corrected airflow readings through the use of a mass flow transducer. This state-of-the-art technology provides test results, which are independent of daily changes in barometric pressure and ambient temperature. This leak test instrument measures the leakage or flow of air through the part under test at a specific test pressure. When the leak test is initiated this instrument automatically pressurizes the part, allows the air pressure within the part to stabilize, and measures the actual leakage through the part. The leakage or flow is displayed in actual engineering units.
| PRESSURE DECAY/CHANGE | |||
| Two pressure decay/change methods are available depending upon the specific application. Applications with a high leak rate specification or a small test volume utilize a gage-pressure-decay test method. Applications with a low leak rate specification or a large test volume will use a pressure-differential-decay test method. With either method this leak test instrument pressurizes the test part, allows the air pressure within the part to stabilize, and measures the decay/change in pressure. | |||
| SETUP & OPERATION | |||
The LTI-05 leak test instrument is easy to setup and operate. The setup procedure is menu driven in response to operator inputs to the front-mounted screen display. Seven (7) limit tables are included with this unit. Setup parameters for these tables include fast fill pressure and tolerance, test pressure and tolerance, cycle times, and accept/reject parameters. Consecutive reject set point, orifice qualification set points, and various feature flags are also included in the unit to customize it's operation. Unit calibration is also menu driven. |

SYSTEM ENCLOSURE |
The LTI-05 is housed in a single metal enclosure. As an option, separate metal enclosures consisting of (1) NEMA 12 electrical enclosure and (1) pneumatic enclosure, are available. The single enclosure contains the processor, display and operator interface panel, power supplies, push buttons, and indicator LED's. One (1) RS232 port, internal to the enclosure, is available for connection to a printer or data collection device. The enclosure also contains the pressure and leak transducers, regulators, and valves. Ports are provided on the side of the enclosure for air and power connections. The standard color for the LTI-05 is ANSI 61 gray. |
