DUNKSTANDS |
Dunk Test Stand |
| The water immersion leak test stand pictured above is used to verify leak location on various engine components such as blocks, heads, and manifolds on an audit and R&D basis. The parts are manually sealed with bolt on plates and manually expanding seals and then attached to the rotate mechanism on the pneumatic ball-screw actuated elevator. The parts are first pressurized with air at up to 60 psi and then lowered into the dunk tank. The water in the tank can be controlled from ambient, up to 90 degrees C. and has lighting in the sides of the tank to aide the operator. A manual rotate mechanism allows the operator to visually inspect all sides of the part for a leak and make notation of the leak location in the part. |
